310 Redirect Must Know

June 7th, 2009 No comments

Recently, a friend’s Blog in the process of doing 301 redirect some of the difficulties encountered.

Probably is that the original name of the Blog does not intend to do, and in the new domain name on the resumption of the stove, began to write again, but the flow of the old Blog do not want to lose, so did a 301 redirect to a new domain name, but content is different from the original content of the Blog does not migrate to a new Blog.

Has done a 301 redirect in more than two weeks after a new domain name is still not included, the old Blog of the record still exists.
I have read about the use of this site’s HTTP Status Checker, can verify the situation Jump up Jump 5 can check.
Blog from the old has been included in the url of the situation is like this:

The old url >>301 new url>> 302 new url >>404 error page

Blog This is because the old url with the new and different, and rewrite the rules of the new Blog will be possible to use 302 redirect to the actual site, but the page does not exist yet, so there will be a final error page 404.

I think the biggest problem is 302, followed by 404, which linked the two issues could be even greater. This should be included in Google is not the largest possible causes.

Then, to help this friend, then 301 redirect to amend the rules, all point to the new blog’s home page.
Then see if he is the sitemap, looked at, but also some errors in it, to tell him the way one-to-use plug-sitemap.
I recommend the Google XML Sitemaps plugin, great work in WordPress. The most important thing is the correct format.
This is basically, I do not need to wait for 12 weeks, Google will be included in this Ah Q log.

Continue the above topics, or to discuss the 301 redirect then.
1) to avoid the 301 redirect, the new page, or return the final page is a 404 error code.
2) 301 redirect, and a new page before the page, the content of the best, and if not done so, to the extent possible, relevant to the content.
3) 301 redirect, url redirection is used, rather than used to redirect traffic, this should be very careful, and this is the basic spirit of 301 redirect.
4) Web site from a migration to a new domain name, with 301 redirect.
5) to give up a website, but also to rewrite a web site, it is necessary to move traffic, it is best not to use 301 redirect.
My suggestion is that the original site, in addition to Home, all give 404 errors, explain the situation on the page, and give a link to allow the user clicks to reach the new site.
6) Do not use 302 redirects, which makes Google think that the original page url is also effective

Earning Income While You Work At Home

June 7th, 2009 No comments

Do you dream that one day you will not have to get up early in the morning and fight your way through the morning commute to get to work? Are you sick and tired of fighting the traffic and wasting precious hours of your life driving to and from work? Then you should start looking into other ways of earning an income without having to deal with the daily rush hour.
If you don’t want to fight traffic or waste valuable time every day that you could be spending with your family, you really need to consider a home based business or internet income as an excellent alternative. The good thing about a home based business or internet income is that you can simply stay at home, work in your pajamas, and do it all on your own terms.
When you work at home, you get to make your own rules and set your own work schedule. Working at home will give you complete control over your work time. You can go to work early in the morning or late at night, it doesn’t matter. No one will ever dock your pay or mark you tardy if you don’t get to a specific place or start at a certain time.
The only person you will need to answer to, when having a home based business or internet income, is yourself. However you do need to understand that if you are not self-motivated and don’t possess good work ethics, you may not earn enough income to pay your bills and keep yourself living a comfortable lifestyle.
On the other hand, if you do have a fair amount of self-discipline and you don’t mind working extra hours and putting in extra efforts on what you choose to do, then you could really earn a great deal of money through an online business.
Setting your own work schedules and rules
One of the many things to take into consideration when you have a home based business or internet income is to set up your work schedules and rules. You should always keep in mind that you will need to follow some set of rules to achieve maximum productivity.
Nobody’s going to be there to call your attention. If you don’t devote enough time and get all of your work done, you will soon find out that you may not have enough money to pay all of your bills. You will need to work diligently on your online business to insure that the work will get done when it needs to be done.
When you set up your own work schedules and rules, you need to make sure you are committed to following them faithfully. It will not do you any good, if you just set up a work schedule and rules, then simply push them to the side. If you make schedules and rules, make sure you follow everything in order that you have set. If you need to be hard on yourself, do so. Keep in mind that the rewards will probably be worth it in the long run.
To help encourage yourself to follow your own work schedules and rules, you should set a target income goal for the month. Setting a target income goal for the month will help encourage you to dedicate more time and effort to your online business, especially if you see that you’re falling behind on you’re income goals. On the other hand, if you have a targeted income goal for the month and you reach that goal, you can reward yourself with a day off, if you are going to meet those goals well ahead of time.

A Number of Approaches for Bloggers on Link Building

June 7th, 2009 No comments

The two main ingredients to rank highly in the search engines are that you must have good content and have lots of links pointing to you. For the vast majority of bloggers, writing outstanding content is not the problem. The problem is finding the best ways to build links to the blog, as well as building deeplinks to the blog posts themselves.

Thousands of self-proclaimed “link building experts” will try to sell you costly ebooks showing you the greatest places to build your links. The main reason this article was written is to show you that there is no reason to buy your way to a great link building campaign when you can do it all totally free. As a prologue, you should know that the most common free link building strategies such as link exchanges or linkfarms can be dangerous to your sites search engine rankings. For more details go to www.your-own-blog.com. As a good way to judge whether or not a link building technique will be dangerous to your site or not is to imagine if that link would be placed there if the search engines didn’t exist. If you were not adding your link to a site for the sole purpose that Google would find it, would you still add it?

With the prelude out of the way, lets move on. Building links to your blog is a lot different than building links to a static site. According to most people who own blogs, it is hundred of times easier. On your blog, you can build tons of links to hundreds of different pages, which you cannot do on a static site. Blogs are also updated on a daily basis, meaning the search engines crawl through them for hours and rank them higher with very little extra work. Your link building campaigns will be far more reaching than if you were on a static site. Every single post you make on your blog has a chance to gain tons of social media links which will result in higher search engine placement and more traffic. The more traffic, the more money you make!

After spending many hours searching the internet for places to build links for blogs, the best place you should focus your blog’s link building campaigns are on social media sites. These sites generally have a huge amount of visitors and the content that is promoted ranks heavily on the search engines. You are allowed to submit every blog post you write to every single social media site, thus building many links for every single blog post you write. This will allow you to have many deeplinks which will raise the authority of your blogs main domain. For more information login to www.blog-and-png.com. In the end, you will be able to rank higher for your blog posts without doing any extra marketing. Stop paying for bad quality ebooks when with a few minutes every day you can submit your blog posts to social media websites for free and receive far more benefit. If the social media sites like your blog posts, it may even make their front page resulting in thousands more visitors and hundreds more links. The result of this can easily snowball into reaching wide new audiences and rank for longtail keywords that you never thought possible. Give it a try because after all, you have nothing to lose.

Google Page Rank Update

June 6th, 2009 No comments

Well it finally happened, the Google Page rank update. Google updated all of my page ranks on all of the sites I manage the search engine optimization for. I am happy to say that none of my page ranks haven fallen and several have gained one or two places.
Google’s last page rank update was in April and many webmasters have been waiting since the last update to reap the rewards of all the hard work they have put in optimizing pages, building quality back links, adding continuous fresh content, and holding their breaths.
I haven’t seen any keyword placement movement since the new Google update but it may take up to two full weeks to see how significant the Google page rank still is to search engines like Yahoo and MSN.
I believe Google page rank is still relevant and will impact millions of websites around the world. The Google page rank is a calculation of various areas of your sites worth and as Google adjust its algorithm to come up with the best possible score for your websites value in the market your are trying to place in again.
Many of you are now seeing page ranks on new sites that have had a score of zero for several months. Others of you have see your great page rank go down, which may hurt your overall placement only time will tell.
I have seen the results of page ranks dropping on Text Link sites due to selling of these links but haven’t seen the punishment Google is said to be giving out to people who purchase these links for their sites. I am sure Google is weighing the cheating factor and grading the sites accordingly.
Now that a new Google page rank has been made, don’t stop optimizing your site planning to wait until the last minute to spam the system. Continue working hard as even more and more competitors are coming online as we speak. Do what’s best for your customer and the search engines usually follow right along.
Good content, placing your links in the right places, and streamlining your met tags will always payoff in the end. Remember in search engine optimization, you have to be patient, be diligent, and know that your are targeting the right keywords and audience for your business.
Until the next big Google update, take care of your business and your business will take care of you.

Brute Force Twitter

June 6th, 2009 No comments
Facebook can find you a couple hundred friends you never knew you had. LinkedIn might snag you a couple of career connections here and there. But on Twitter, you can achieve the instant status of claiming tens of thousands, even a million, followers without the pesky task of starting your own religion.

Even before actor Ashton Kutcher earned the bragging rights of beating CNN in the race to reach 1 million Twitter followers, the frenzy to gain more followers on the microblogging site inspired a cadre of Internet marketers and Web developers to sell their methods of exponentially increasing a person’s Twitter following. Part of the craze is about social status, part of it is about business promotion and, according to some Twitter users, much of it is suspect.

For the uninitiated, the term “brute force” might sound incompatible with a communication platform whose mascot is a diminutive sparrow. “In the online sense, it means to force an issue—rapidly firing a method either on a server or a service in an inauthentic way to get a lot out of a service in a short space of time,” says Phil Campbell, a 36-year-old freelance Web developer and consultant based in Derbyshire, England.

The term goes back to the days of the first modern software companies, when hackers tried to discover a software product’s protective serial code by building a program called a key generator, which entered possible combinations at a breakneck pace until it broke though a program’s protective barrier.

“Brute force is the best way to describe my software,” says Peter Drew, CEO of XRT Services, which recently unveiled a product he calls Brute Force Twitter, the same name as Bryda’s product.

Drew sells a line of software products under the Brute Force brand and has used the brand for several years, long before, he says, Bryda began to sell his Brute Force Twitter. “I’m the Brute Force guy and everyone knows it,” Drew says.

“Basically, the idea is about forcing your way to the top,” says Dana Willhoit, 45, CEO of ThePressReleaseSite.com and a social-media consultant who partnered with Drew to create his Brute Force Twitter product.

Unlike Bryda’s product, which relies on manually employing different tactics, Drew’s Brute Force Twitter is a piece of software that automatically identifies and follows Twitter users who have tweeted specific keywords. Drew’s product is connected to a database of Twitter users, ensuring that users do not follow the same person twice and mitigating the risk of being reported to Twitter as a nuisance.

However, not all Twitter users feel that the software is any better or more organic than other techniques available. “It’s like walking into a pub and joining in a conversation about something when you do not know the background of the people or have respect for the flow of the conversation,” Campbell says.

Twitter itself acknowledges the variety of ways its users view its service. “Many are experimenting with how to be more successful with Twitter and even what that means for them,” says Biz Stone, Twitter’s co-founder and creative director. Nevertheless, Stone draws a line, albeit a hazy one, when it comes to using Twitter for spam purposes. “We look very seriously at those on a case-by-case basis. Accounts that violate our terms of service in this regard are suspended,” Stone says.

Some believe that how you use brute-force methods matters more than the methods themselves. It’s up to users if they want to use Twitter for spam purposes, says Nathan Gilder, a 28-year-old Internet-marketing consultant who uses Drew’s Brute Force Twitter. “And the nice thing about Twitter is that if you don’t want to listen to someone, you can just unfollow them.”

Want to Make Money Online? Some Easy Ways to Do so

Want To Make Money Online? Some Easy Ways To Do So

The Internet is allowing ordinary people to create incomes working from home. I am going to reveal some easy ways to make money online that are proven and successful. Putting a little effort into these techniques will help you start to build your own business online.

Have or create your own product giving information to people on the subject they are searching for. People use the Internet to search for information. Find a market that has a lot of people searching for information and create a product around that. Having your own product will give you a much higher chance of making money online as every sale gives you huge profit margins. Try to make at least one product and that will help you on your way to riches online.

Selling other people’s products is another great way to make money online, and the only downside is that you do not get 100% of the profits for each sale. However, this does save you the time of creating your own product and can help generate an income quickly which in turn gives you more time to work on producing your own products. Affiliate Marketing will allow you to do this and with thousands of products available finding one to suit your marketplace should not be hard.

Writing reviews of the product is best as this helps people to make a purchasing decision and if they see someone else has benefited from the product, they are more likely to buy it themselves.

Creating a website and sell advertising space on it is another great way to make money. The most popular way for this is to use Google Adsense. These small ads appear on your site and are always relevant to the content you have published there. Whenever someone clicks on a Google Adsense Ad, you will earn a small commission from that ad on your site. Of course, you will need a lot of traffic to make big money using Google Adsense so do some research first before going down this route.

If you have your own product, or are selling products from an Affiliate program, then using other people’s mailing lists will help you to make money. Some call it Join Ventures while I prefer to call it “UOPML”. “Using Other People’s Making Lists”.

There are two ways to do this. One is to write and ask if you can pay for an advertisement to their list, or the other is to write and offer them a commission for promoting your product to their list. You will need to have an affiliate program in place to do the latter of course, but in time as your business grows, you will begin to understand how this works a lot more.

Until you have an Affiliate program in place for your product, contact people and pay for advertising to their list. Do some research first on the people and maybe even subscribe to their list to see how they market. If you like the content and form trust for this person, it is likely others are doing the same.

If you find the right people to advertise your products for you, you can generate a lot of traffic to your website very quickly and this in turn can lead to huge profits fast.

Any of the techniques above will help you to make money online, but unless you put effort into this you will not make any money. Take the time to research and then take action.

The Most Effective Free Advertising

June 6th, 2009 No comments

After a few months of advertising my online business opportunities’ website, I have learned a valuable, but true advertising fact. The best way to advertise an affiliate program is through writing articles and submitting them to syndicated sites for others to use, thereby creating links to your own website.

If you are new to website promotion, you may need to know how this works. First, you need to read, and then you write about what you have learned. I have found that there is definitely no shortage of information on the web. Take the information and put into your own words, your thoughts and feelings regarding what you have learned through your reading, and experiences and knowledge of your own. Sit down and write from 350 to 700 words about what you think or have learned in this process. When submitting them to article publishing sites for approval, make sure to add your website links in the author’s note, to link your website to other websites. Then when other website owners need valuable content to post on their website, you have gained the opportunity to put your link on someone else’s website. They go to the article publishing sites to find good content, and if they like yours, you get a free link. Easy, and free. You can join a power linking forum and get a complete list of article syndication sites to submit your articles to, or do a search of your own. You then can either submit your articles manually, or pay an article submission site to submit them for you for approval. Since I want mine free, and have the time, I do my own submissions manually. Please take the time to correct grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure before submitting your articles, and be sure to read each site rules for submission to insure your articles are considered for publishing. Some of them have some strict rules and guidelines, especially regarding where your links can be placed in the article. Most will only allow links in the author’s note box.

The next thing you need to do is set up a blog. This, too, is free and lots of fun! There, you can even post your very own personal journal. I have chosen to make mine about online business promotion, and post only articles about online businesses. Do a search for free blogs to find the one that is right for you. Post your articles on your blog. It’s easy and fun to do, with copying and pasting from a word document. You can also post your photos on your blog. To build your traffic, make sure you include a link to your main website near the top of your blog. The more content your blog has, the better the search engines love you. If you need more content than you can possibly write in the beginning, you can use articles others have written on the subject you are creating for your blog. Article publishing sites are full of good quality articles on just about any subject you may want to choose. But you must always include the author’s note at the bottom, to give the author credit and the opportunity to have his or her link displayed on your site. After you have given your blog valuable content, you need to “ping” your blog site, so search engine spiders will find you. This helps to build your traffic to your blog. Then due to your link on your blog to your main webpage site, you increase your main website traffic. I use “Ping-O-Matic” for mine. It gets submitted to many different sites at once and very simple to do.

Next, you can link your blog to other blogs by joining a blog linking site. You get lots of free traffic, and other bloggers leave comments on your BlogSpot, leaving a link, and you can link on their blogs the same way. Free, Free, Free, Traffic!
